Literacy Mid-South: Read Memphis Program
The Read Memphis Project builds the capacity of other organizations, churches, nonprofits, and groups to create new or improve existing community-based literacy or adult basic education centers (6th-grade reading and below) and English as a Second Language (ESL) centers throughout the Mid-South.

Memphis Public Libraries (MPL) serves lifelong learners and encourages young readers. MPL serves newcomers wishing to improve their English language skill and small business owners wishing to grow what they have built. Their programs have brought history to life and their computers have connected people with the vastness of the internet. MPL strives daily to satisfy the customer’s need to know.

Memphis Metal Museum
The Memphis Metal Museum is devoted exclusively to the advancement of the art and craft of fine metalwork. This is achieved through exhibitions, collections, conservation, restoration, and consulting services, classes, internship opportunities, artist residencies and apprenticeships, research and onsite fabrication of artwork and architectural elements.

LeMoyne Owen College
LeMoyne–Owen College is a private historically black college in Memphis, Tennessee and affiliated with the United Church of Christ. It resulted from the 1968 merger of historically black colleges and other schools established by northern Protestant missions during and after the American Civil War.
